My family taught me to be humble, but proud; kind, but not weak; and to share my love without hesitation. – Clarissa Bowers
Clarissa Bowers is our current America’s Miss World 2017 and represented the United States at Miss World 2017.
Bowers is currently obtaining a degree in Neuroscience from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. Raised in a military family, she grew up with a deep respect and appreciation for those serving our country. She will use her Neuroscience degree to pursue a career in reconstructive surgery to give back to our Nation’s wounded soldiers and help children with congenital deformities.
She is an ambassador for Healing the Children, an international nonprofit that provides medical support and assistance to children in need around the globe. Bowers raises funds for the charity and as an oral maxillofacial surgical assistant, she participates in the children’s medical consultations and assists in their surgeries. Most recently, Bowers traveled to Neiva, Colombia as a component of Healing the Children’s medical team to provide free surgeries for children with cleft lips and palates as well as various other craniofacial malformations.
