Emily Curtis

Emily is a life-long Oregonian, but moved to Nebraska to attend the University of Nebraska – Lincoln directly after completing high school. While there, she was a member of the Society of Women Engineers and the rowing team all while completing her degree in mechanical engineering. Currently, she is working on becoming a registered nurse in her home state of Oregon. She is an advocate for women in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math), and a science communicator helping to build a network of opportunity and support. You can often find her spending time outside at the Oregon coast or finding a new hiking spot in the Pacific Northwest. Additionally, she enjoys gardening, reading, and traveling to new places with a goal to visit every national park in the country.
