Miss World America 2020 Alissa Anderegg
A Duke University graduate with a Master’s from Northwestern University, I am now living out my dreams in New York City! As Social Media Manager of one of the world’s largest banks, I use my background to help educate people around the world on how to save and invest their money to achieve their dreams. Outside of work, I am a national Alzheimer’s activist of more than 15 years in memory of my Grandma Mary Fran.
Throughout the years, I have been honored to share my experience of being a young caregiver locally— speaking at various Walks to End Alzheimer’s and leading sing-a-longs at senior centers— and nationally—
through my involvement in the Emmy-winning HBO documentary The Alzheimer’s Project, contributions to Alzheimer’s Association publications, an essay in The Shriver Report: A Woman’s Nation Takes on Alzheimer’s, a three-state keynote speaking tour, as a face of Maria Shriver’s Women’s Alzheimer’s Movement national campaign, and more.
With every experience the most meaningful moments always involve connecting one-on-one with other Alzheimer’s champions to hear their personal stories and become unified in our shared journeys. These are the moments that continue to inspire me. As Miss World America, my goal is to live by my personal motto of “Educate, Empower, Activate” to encourage others to use their talents to make a difference. I want to show America— and the world— that no dream is unachievable, and by following our dreams we can change the world.
